From the very first page this book had me captivated, flipping the pages as quickly as possible so as to get the fastest look i could at the next page! I simply loved the way in which it was written, the words flow so naturally into each other creating a sense of realism thats really hard to come across in a book. I also appreciated the short chapters- something I really look for in a book as they help me to focus more while reading it.
The way in which Cassie interacts with her patients is simply incredible- i think if i ever worked in a mortuary I’d have a difficult time keeping myself from talking to the bodies constantly- and it often really feels as though you’re in the room with her. I found the presence of other characters often marginally irritating by the end as i was so invested in her character development! Overall it was a perfect book that was just what i was looking for at the time, very much recommend! :)
