I really enjoyed "Body Language"! The story centres around the death of Mrs E, which at first appears to be a tragic accident but Cassie, who works in the mortuary, has her suspicions...and faces a huge challenge of convincing the police to reopen the investigation before time runs out. It's a bit different and features several strong and often complex female characters, which appealed to me. These include Cassie the mortuary technician, Flyte the police officer and Cassie's Polish Babcia. You find yourself invested in the characters and what happens to them. I found the first look very sad to read but on the whole I liked how the book approached the topic of death. The mystery of Mrs E's death is really gripping and kept me guessing. There are other storylines of interest in the book too. I love a book like this that makes you try to squeeze extra reading time into the day!
