Wow this was an incredible book packed with mystery, which was difficult to put down. The cover of this book is absolutely beautiful, this was one thing which drew me towards the book and sparked an interest.
The story follows the main protagonist, Cassie Raven, a mortuary technician, whose ability to talk to the dead was very intriguing. One day a new body is brought in, and Cassie notices it is her old school teacher, Mrs E. However, Cassie notices something isn't right and further investigates the truth behind Mrs E's unexpected death, with the help of a police officer, whom she starts to build a friendly relationship with towards the end. There were so many unexpected twists and turns through out the book and the ending was unexpected!
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading crime and thriller books. I also think this would be a great start to a series following Cassie Raven.
