An amazing crime thriller novel with a different take on death. Written from the perspective of a mortuary worker, the book takes a different turn on death, and it makes you question things you never think about before. Cassie Raven has a difficult past and I liked the fact that she could listen to the dead and she has the ability to analyse key details. The first half of the book is quite graphic. Cassie is strong-willed, compassionate, feisty and unique. It also involves some relatable content, such as having a close friend dying. There are aspects of dark humour involved, but it is generally based around medical forensic crime. Similar to the show Silent Witness, but a book version so would definitely recommend the book to anyone who enjoys the show.
Another great book by this author and she never fails to meet her amazing expectations. Could not put the book down once I started reading it and was hooked onto the story within a few chapters.
