Body Language - "When the Dead Speak she Listens". This had me captivated from the start. I just had to read it. With an interest in spiritualism and mediums and a good crime thriller, this was right up my street! The lead, Cassie Raven, I just loved from the start. Strong and unashamedly different. DS Flyte is a pleasant change from other female detective lead roles we are used to. You grow to like her. I was really hoping that something would develop between her and Cassie outside of their professional relationship.
The story held you throughout. It was both touching and sad in places, especially the relationship between Cassie and her mentor Mrs E. I was willing Cassie to get justice for her!
I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens next! I kept thinking throughout the book that it would make an excellent film or TV drama series.
