This book opens with our protagonist, Cassie Raven, working as a mortuary technician and finding her old professor dead in one of the mortuary's body bags. To begin with, I found the book a little dull and hard to get through. But, as I continued to read and more questions needed answering, I found myself wanting to read more and more. There were plot twists scattered throughout the book, some of them a little more predictable than others, however, the ending was tied up beautifully with a little bow. I loved the main character and her stubbornness and cleverness. She's definitely one of my favourite protagonist's that I have met in a while. The uncertain romance involved in this book was phenomenal between Cassie and Flyte. It was the little things between them that made them so adorable and an amazing romance. Overall, I do think that this book has some faults but I did thoroughly enjoy it!
