This is a new twist on Crime Novels for me. The Pathology Assistant who can "sense" and "hear" her ladies and gentlemen.
The setting in London and her home in Camden come to light in the imagination and the characters are all liked. I have no dislike for any of the characters and feel that they are all totally believable.
Absolutely brilliant link up of the Pathology Department and the Police.
Great links in the plot that make the story really fast paced but without missing out on any details. Just enough technical pathology detailing without it being too confusing and enough to make it feel that all the detailing was necessary and not just added to add "words" to the story.
The interaction between the characters, Cassie and Phyllida, is very interesting and I am so so hopeful that there will be more for them. They are so alike but still totally different and the changes they force each other to make are fantastic.
