This except of the book, is really easy to read. Simple but effective language used, it explained medical terminology so you didn't have the google the meaning of something.
What i loved right away was i felt i was getting to Know Cassie. You could sense she had a past which was going to unravel as the story went on. That left me wanting to know more. I liked her dark sense of humour with her new colleague.
I enjoyed learning about her work, and how Cassie really connected with her work, which linked to her personal life. The author didn't just stick to one part of her life but jumped nicely from personal to professional. Which again left you wanting to know more and continue reading.
What left me hanging was Cassie seemed to have some sort of link to the corpse and could see parts of their world which helped her work. I liked that she kept this to herself at this point.
