Here we have an unlikely pairing (again, if you've read the author's prior books) working on a murder/mystery. Good new protagonist and good twists and turns too. Nothing over-the-top and all done without either Wonder Woman or Superman making appearances. Clearly, quite a lot of research has gone into the book, without making it technically intimidating for the reader. The novel offers something different, but, happily, without resorting to the latest fads of (a) back and forth timelines, and/or (b) multiple narrators, often unreliable................... ................................ ..................................................... ..............need to feel this up........................................ignore this............................,,,,,.........................
