What an absolutely brilliant thriller. I was hooked from start to finish and found it really difficult to put down. Initially I found the first part too graphic but this does not continue through the book.
The character of Cassie is superb. She is so unique and individual but so very likeable. There were several subplots going on throughout this book which all held my interest. Cassie's relationship with Flyte is an interesting one and I would really love to see this book become a series of books to see how the relationship develops and also because I have never read a story before that looks at the relationship between a police officer and a mortuary technician.
The book describes the relationship between Cassie and the dead so beautifully and for a topic that is rarely seen in fiction is was really done well.
I highly recommend this book, I loved everything about it and wish that I could go back and read it for the first time again.
