i enjoyed this book, although it wast quite what i expected, based on the cover i expected a ghost whisper style story about a girl who talks to ghosts, what i got was a page turning crime drama about a girl who works in a mortuary, Cassie Raven who does get messages from the dead but only a few odd words or a quick sighting, Cassie faces a face against time to prove that an old friend of hers was murdered rather than dying of a tragic accident as everyone first suspected, can she overcome her distrust of the police and convince by the book detective Flyte to follow her leads that she cant really explain and get the case reopened, i felt it was well written and had complex characters many of which i would of like to know more about, there are still a lot of questions by the end of the book so i assume there will be squeal, which i would be interested to read
