Crime and thrillers are my go to book of choice so this one really appealed from the start. The book cover implies that it will be a grissly story but I actually think it was more sedate, but in a good way.
The story follows Cassie as she has to deal with a friend that turns up on her mortuary table and the aftermath. She delves deeper to find out what happened to her friend before it is too late and the body and evidence are gone forever.
The story is written amazingly well and the amount of attention to the setting and procedures of a mortuary environment are detailed. Not that I am an expert, but the detail was evident to the time taken to get the writing and story as accurate as possible by the author.
The extra details added to the story and getting into the setting of the story. I don't want to give anything away about the book other than say you must read it to find out!
