This was an interesting twist on a crime thriller having it set in a morgue where the Mortuary Technician helped to solve the crimes by analysing bodies. I enjoyed the technical medical sections and felt like I learned something.

The story was interesting and kept me reading to find out what happened, although it started a little slow. There seemed to be a lot of dangerous situations, some of which linked to the main story but others which seemed to be designed purely to put the protagonist in danger and in need of rescue, if this book tells us anything it is that crime and danger lurk behind every single corner in Brixton.

On the whole the characters were likable and easy to relate to although they sometimes seemed to be a little too quirky, more for the sake of it or to emphasise the differences between characters than because it made sense for the individuals. They certainly developed throughout the book though and I would be happy to read another focussing on the same group of characters.

I've got to admit I didn't guess the ending, although I felt it came a little out of nowhere and some aspects seemed a little far-fetched. Regardless of this I found 'Body Language' enjoyable to read and would read another book by A. K. Turner.
