I am not the biggest fan of thrillers in general so for me to like this book, even a bit, is an accomplishment haha. When I first started this book, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I thought the characters were interesting and well thought out and did not fit into usual, boring conventions. After around 100 pages the book sort of hit a wall for me. I feel like the book could have been around 100 pages shorter but that's just me. it picked up again around the middle but I did skim read for about another 100 pages because I just could not get into it again!! I don't even know why. I really like the relationship between Cassie and Flyte but I really wish the author would have made them a real couple instead of just implying it right at the end. Maybe if it becomes a series of there are sequels they will be together. I also did not love who the murderer turned out to be - I found it to be not very satisfying. Overall, I very much enjoyed the start but not so much the end so a solid 3 stars for this book.
