I started this book a couple of days after the passing of a relative which made it a bit hard to get into initially due to the themes of the book.

However 10 days later i decided to pick it up again and i have read over 200 pages in a day and finished, excuse the pun but its a real page turner.

The cover of the book is engaging and eludes to a grizzly story. Judging a book by a cover, i would purchase as it looks good.

The story follows Cassie Raven, a mortuary assistant who is shocked to discover her teacher and friends body come in.

Cassie has an observant nature and we follow her journey following the death of her teacher, Mrs E.

I cannot say much else about the plot without spoiling so I shall stop there.

I found the story captivating, it was an enjoyable read. I liked the short chapters, and the changes in Narrator.

This story is a 5 star from me, i really liked it. What i would say is that is not to be read closely following a bereavement as some of the content is a bit grizzly and could be upsetting to the faint hearted.
