Cassie Raven is a mortuary technician with a difference, she can talk to the dead.
But one day she recognises one of the bodies she has to tend to. Her old teacher Geraldine Edwards didn't according to the report but Cassie receives a message from beyond the grave and is determined to do all she can for Geraldine.
But fighting against the police and someone who thinks Cassie is getting too close to what really happened wants Cassie dead.
She is now engaged in a battle of wills and a fight not only for truth and justice, but a battle to survive.
This was one of the best thrillers I have read in a very long time and I just loved the quirky character of Cassie Raven.
I really hope this will be developed into a series starring her.
It would be great to have a sequel as it was an absolutely fantastic read.
