Wow what a book!
A.K. Turner’s writing is captivating and on a whole new level. I enjoyed the short chapters as it made the book feel like an immersive but overwhelming read.
The characters were beautifully entwined into each other’s narrative without being too imposing on their own story. Their relationship develops overtime and they both overcome situations and decisions that without the other would not have been possible. I am so grateful that together they discover the truth that leads to Mrs E’s death and intern discover plenty about themselves.
I love the link between the dead and how they still seek out the mystery of their deaths through the living. This could make for a whole new array of novels from Turner that is for sure.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good crime thriller and is looking for an inventive new twist on a classically brilliant genre. I loved this book!
