After seeing the book cover of 'Cartel Wives' it instantly had me gripped. I believe that a book cover has to sell the story. It has to have you gripped to pick it up and read the back, if the cover isn't interesting then the book will get missed. Cartel Wives has me hooked before i even read the back or know anything about it.
I like the way that there is the red nails that match the description on the book. It tells me that this story is going to be about some sort of glamour, that they have money to be able to maintain them. Then the red writing - ' a true story of deadly decisions, steadfast love and bringing down el chapo', this has completely sold me and i honestly want to start reading. The use of the 3 descriptive words has left me wondering what the decisions are deadly and how this is linked to El Chapo.
On the description of the back, the one line that i love has to be '
'to their neighbours, they are typical single mothers...' this has honestly got me hooked and i want to start reading it now!
This book seems to have a bit of violence, glamour and a brilliant twist to it! I want to find out how they became involved with El Chapo and how they escaped and are seeking redemption.
This would be a book that i would pick up in the book shop.
