Did anyone else take far too long to realise the author and charcter names link? Hopefully I wasn't the only one :D

Even with the first person point of view I didn't noticed until I went to right this.

I don't know if this is based on a true story, but It is very well written.

I like the perspectives that this book gives the reader. It isn't told from the view of the Drug Kingpin or the cops trying to catch them.
It's told from the view of the wives, who are fully aware of what was going on and how it could affect them.

It opens with some "present-day" background to get the reader up to speed with the setting, that is actually quite interesting in itself, before jumping back in the timelines to the 1970's and explaining how our main character got first involved in the drug business. The knowledge and character profiling is already clear in just the opening pages.

It seems different to what I often choose to read, but I think I'd enjoy reading further into this book.
