This true story is written in the first person. Unlike most books about gangsters, it's written from a womans perspective. After having a baby at such a young age and going to prison for 6 months Olivia has had to grow up fast and has had to become strong for her child's sake. Olivia is saved from longer in prison by him paying someone off. She then feels obliged to marry him. Unfortunately he's not the man she thought he was she leaves him.Surrounded by crime, it seems like her actions will affect those around her, as in the tantalising ending to the first look where it infers that Leo may be bumped off.
It leaves you wanting to find out what happens to Leo, Olivia and her son Xavier. I'm sure there's going to be some very hairy moments in this book and think you could get lost in the story and may have to remind yourself that this is a true life drama.
