I thought that ‘Christmas at War’ was quite charmingly written, with plenty of room to explore different areas later on in the book, as the blurb highlighted. This area of history being of great interest to me, I felt that it had the potential to offer a slightly different dimension from what it usually displayed with regards to this time.
