After read A Ration Book Christmas it is lovely to read a non fiction book covering Christmas during the same period. The reminiscences are both happy and sad, most of the children seemed to have had the best Christmases of their lived sadly not with their parents. I loved Frank's memories especially when he thought a fox was one of Santa's reindeers. Not so sure about the cover but as it is about real people maybe a photograph was best. A good seasonal read and a good present for someone who remembers that time.
