History told through the real stories of people who lived in the times. Each story tells a different tale of how these children felt at different times during the war and their evacuation.
It would be useful if you were a school teacher and wanted to give the children some real stories about what ti was like for people.
Other than that, I'm not sure why you would want to read this book. It is essentially just chapters of "this person experienced x", "this child thought this." I can imagine it may be interesting for people to reminisce if they were around at those times and it could be interesting if you knew the people but it is not something I could imagine reading any more of and I didn't really enjoy the style of it at all.
