Having lived through the second world war this one sounds really interesting to me, even though a baby at the start of the war I can recall the Christmas mornings with very little, but all still very exciting.Mostly home made presents to fill stockings I can recall soft toys made by Mums which were treasured and loved.The food certainly was saved for the day, as all was rationed but enjoyed by all,I think everyone made the best of it.This book sounds Ideal on giving us a good insight to Christmas in wartime.
