I loved all the tales and the history this book contains it will make very interesting reading and bring back many memories some bad but hopefully most that can be laughed about now.
My mother and father often talked of this time one of my mother's favourite sayings was "We can't afford bacon"!!!! and she frequently said she was sorry she couldn't give me butter as often as I wanted it.
The war years Christmas must have been very challenging as were those few years after. I would really love to read this excellent book on our past.
