My grandparents were young when the war was on. I have always be curious, as to what holidays were like, when you had nothing. The grand times that were created, by people who had nothing, astonishes me. I wondered, how through such harsh conditions, one could bring some merriment to their lives. This book shows us just how we as people, can find happiness in the saddest times and come together to make the darkest times, full of sunlight and joy. This book is a page turner, just want to read more.
