I purchased this book when I was studying world war 2 at school and I was completely hooked, this book journeys through the struggles and joys of people at that time, the way that the author describes in depth their experiences really makes the book gripping, my friend also used this book to help them with there history exam and with the impeccable help from this amazing novel, they weren't that far off of full marks.
