It was a easy read and nice to have factual differing views of the same time of the year in a very hard period of people’s life and how they overcome their shortcomings and still managed to enjoy the festivities.
The book was an easy read and the photos were nice to have half way through, it was good to be able to identify the parts which were people’s true accounts from the style of writing through out the book.
I like reading books about the war and how community spirit was kept alive and helped each other through a very difficult time which must of us here today didn’t experience and do not have relations alive whom can share their stories.
