Awww I thought this was a great little book full of true stories written by people that were actually there and experienced it themselves.
Also, what a lovely little front cover - I loved seeing the genuine pictures which made it all the more intriguing to read.
I loved how it was linked to Christmas and gave us more of an insight as to what Christmas would have been like at a time of such turmoil and fear from many. I’ve not read books like this before but it has certainly opened up my eyes to a whole brand new type of genre that I can go on to read.
I would recommended this book as it’s an interesting read and different from anything I’ve read before. I’ve also got the other war Christmas book on here that I look forward to reading next year!
