The cover is eye-catching, but I think perhaps only to fans of thrillers. It does not scream historical fiction to me.
In conjunction, I found the premise to be slightly unclean - is it set in England or America? Is it English history or American? Whilst the story seems like it would be interesting once you get into it, I think the blurb could be more clear in order to entice readers.
