Defy the Stars was a pretty good science fiction. Fits well for those who like Veronica Roth and the Divergent Series in particular (a must read)
I was drawn to the book especially by the cover it was inciting and gave a typical science fiction, dystopian feel.
The characters follow a back and forth perspective between the two main characters and it is interesting to see how both characters develop with their journey to become more connected and fight against their problems.
For me personally, I would have liked further development within the world in some aspects, but that is just because I love picturing every detail of a story when I am reading :)
I definitely will read more from Claudia Grey - I might even read the sequel to this one! Or one of her other books, she definitely seems like a lovable author!!
Overall, I would say that this book explores very fun themes, including the difference aspects of religious and cultural pockets with the story, which is a good thing that more authors should try to integrate into their works- which Grey does really well.
