Upon reading this book I knew it was going to be right up my street of being a bit of sy-fi mixed in with some elements of fantasy and romance. Previously reading Divergent in the past and seeing that Defy the stars was going to be something similar I needed to get onto it to read this book all the way through. I loved being able to read about each side of the story because it gave me two different perspectives on a war. Reading the book like this I felt clover to the characters because I could try and see their reasoning behind the choices the two main characters were going on to make. Besides this the plot really set up a great book for a large age range of people to read and be able to relate to some of the things that characters are talking about.
