I find it very hard to rate romance however this seems more like a science fiction novel but also defys into the characteristic of romance
It’s quite a emotional start! We learn as the reader the protagonist lost her parents at a young age and her friends parents took her in and now she’s willing to die at a war! This shows the emotional unstability of our protagonist and the fact that she’s willing to die for her planet shows the extreme bravery!
As the fact she is only 17 too just shows that she has a death wish and might potray she is suicidal which is why she would die for her planet when the enemy attacks!
It’s quite emotional to see a 17 year old girl go through this! She even talks to another person and tells them it all Be okay!
Definitely would reccomend if you like divergent it’s worth the read it’s jookont and intriguing! Based on a 17 year old girl
