...Noemi being Polynesian, Abel's love of the movie Casablanca, Abel's obsession with prostituting himself when they're running out of money, the absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful tribute to Noemi's friend that Abel comes up with. It's always the little things that makes a book perfect, and this is damn near perfect.

I'm so happy to say that there was little to no focus on the romance at all! This is instead a rather fantastic planet hopping story of two very different people who are thrown together and have to work with each other while trying to stop the Massada Ruin, essentially a suicide mission about to happen on Noemi's planet Genesis.

The romance is very much enemies to friends, friends to potential couple. I loved it. There was no vomit-bucket-inducing declarations of how Abel would sweep the stars for one moment looking at her hazel? eyes (idk I made that up), it's just a slow realisation that there may be more to their friendship right, right at the end.

I loved everything basically and I can't wait to continue the series which I will do hopefully very soon because my series TBR is crushing me right now. The story left me feeling happy to close the last page and look forward to the next book, without dropping some stupid massive cliffhanger on me and I really appreciated that.
