I did not realise this is a series of books.I really enjoyed this and will gladly go back and read the previous instalments of this great story.The author does a great job of presenting in great detail in words and pictures in my mind what life was like back in those times in rome.Although I am not too familiar yet with the characters of Vespasian Vitellius and the young Sabinus already I can see all the makings of a gripping and wonderful story.What a barbaric time it was in history.people running for their lives with their families trying to protect them surrounded everywhere with the bloodshed and cries of battle ringing in their ears.I look forward to getting stuck into this great story.
