This is a completely different kind of book to I usually read so didn’t quite know what to expect of it. Before writing any further I would like to say that this is the last book in a series of nine and although not essential it may be good to read the other eight first to see where some things fit in, I enjoyed this so much I am going to get the other eight and then reread this one so I know the background to everything.
The book is about a person called Vespasian who is wanting to rule over Rome as the emperor, he has tried to get it by force before but failed so now he decides to do it in the proper way.
This is the story of how it comes about and how it is done in although seemingly proper in fact is devious.
A really good read and would recommend it
