Beginning as a story about one man and his seal, the narrative setting a fine maritime backdrop, you can feel the sand between your toes, salt in your ears and gusty sea breeze. Following a warming relationship between man and beast, then the disjointed interactions of the man when he is like a fish out water on land, trying to find his way. Beautifully written, very imaginative and something very different. It can read a little confusing at first, partially because of the unusual content, but once you get into the writing style you’re hooked.
