I really enjoyed the opening to this book and the first line grabbed my attention wondering how the narrators mother came back after she had been cremated. I really liked the tine and lace of this opening story and liked how this led into the second story of the fisherman and the seal. I liked the fairytale otherworldly tone to the book and writing is simple and flows well.
