Firstly I have to say the magical realism in this book is simply stunning and so captivating. The narrative and writing are compelling, the language used is beautiful and the descriptions are just amazing. I was really gripped by the plot and was interested to see where this story would go.
I liked a lot of things about this book apart from the slowness of the plot. Things took a lot of time to actually happen and whilst the descriptions were stunning I feel like sometimes they were very long-winded and could have been just as great if they were shortened.
I liked the relationship between Levi and Charlotte and also the book's relationship with nature, there aren't many books like this one out there. It is very unique and I urge anyone to go and give it a read.
