In the first few chapters you're bombarded with a lot of characters, including the 'killer', and given their various backgrounds and situations. I don't really feel drawn into the characters yet and might have to re-read it to feel involved. The style seems a bit 'Columbo-esque' with the baddie revealed at the beginning and presumably the story is the path to proving it. At this point it seems more of a patient whodunit than a urgent, gripping thriller. Hopefully it will kick up a gear.
