Anyone interested in the life and times of Diana, will love this book.
It was very fast moving and informative. It showed Diana as a human being, with flaws like the rest of us. My opinion of her rose and fell, while reading about her complex character and personality. I was sad to read about the damaged relationship between Charles and Diana, which no doubt led to competition in everyday life. The book showed Diana as a victim, who in turn was her own worst enemy.
It made me laugh when Harry tried to climb inside the black bear, which won him the prized beast. The boys antics were a breath of fresh air in a world of pomp and ceremony. I felt that it portrayed the boys as spoilt and protected from the real world. A more rounded and grounded lifestyle would have been more appropriate for the newest generation of the royal family.
However you feel about Diana, this book is a very engrossing read.
