Diana's world was truly a safe place when her trusty PPO Ken Wharfe was by her side. Ken had to ensure a relationship of complete trust between him and Diana to keep her in her apparently seemfree bubble, and it would turn out that Ken became a trusted confidante and true friend to Diana and her boys.
Ken organised her much needed holidays, giving her and the boys as much privacy as he possibly could from the ever chasing press rat pack - indeed, when you read he was largely responsible for keeping the young boys entertained on holiday, in ways Charles could never have done for lack of imagination on his part, it makes you realise that Ken, in his unassuming way, provided more fun and adventures for William and Harry than they could have ever wished for - indeed in a lot of ways he was much more a father figure to them than Charles.
