An emotive, honest and heartwarming account. There is no doubt that Diana and her story have an enduring appeal. This is a very honest account. Ken Wharfe was not only her security, but a friend and confidante and tells his story as someone who was actually there. Diana is presented with human weaknesses, not perfect, as she has been in other biographies. This Diana, as a result, is likeable through and through. Her pain and loneliness are clear - with the stories behind a lot of the iconic images being told for the first time. To be honest, I could have read on! The only reason I dropped a star was because at times, Wharfe can come across a little self important and lose focus on his subject. Highly recommend.
