Although I am not particularly interested in the Royal family or 'celebrities', I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Ken Wharfe's portrayal of Diana is honest and well balanced. Whilst giving the reader a brief glimpse of the lives of Diana and her relationship with Charles and the rest of the Royal Family at a time when her marriage was falling apart, he manages to portray the enigma of Diana - her sense of fun, her empathy with the vulnerable and down trodden, her moodiness and her love for her two sons.
This book describes Ken's job of Royal Protection Officer to Diana during her overseas visits from 1988 to 1993.
I so enjoyed this book that I now want to read his previous book 'Diana, A Closely Guarded Secret.'
