Based on the blurb, this is not the kind of book I would actively seek out and having read the extract I stand by that.
I didn't find any of the characters likeable, I found the writing of the lead and his wife saccharine.
It reads like a sequel, maybe if I knew the backstory that is alluded to I meet feel more positively towards it but as I haven't, found it hard to invest.
