This book has got a great storyline and I was intrigued in the story and gripped from the first page but unfortunately this book just wasn't for me. It was gripping at times and I thought it was written well but I didn't enjoy the gory bits in the story. I am not sure if I found the plot lines convincing either or some of the characters but that could just be that this book is part of a series and I have not read the other books in the series, so I wonder if I would have got more from the book of I had read them first. I loved the era the book was set in during the Autumn of 1941 and I loved the historical elements of the story some fiction and some fact, fascinating but unfortunately I don't think I was the right audience for this book.
