Having read Rory Clement's 'Nemesis', which features Professor Tom Wilde of Cambridge University I was keen to get hold of Hitler's Secret in which Wilde is also a character.

Historical fiction, especially that set around World War II is a passion of mine and the research that has gone into this book shows the author's dedication to his subject and craft.

The mystery element of the story, with the package Wilde is asked to collect and deliver is tense and intense, and the wartime elements are never forgotten throughout, making it seem very read and very scary. The name Hitler usually invokes terror into the hearts of those who were not even living at the time, and Clement's has written prose that touches on this fear we still experience today when we hear the name, but also produced and extremely enjoyable and thought-provoking read.
