This WW2 thriller is a really fast paced, exciting and gripping read, which if your are anything like me will keep you reading much later into the night than you originally intended!
I am struggling with this review, because to describe it well would give too much away, I suppose it would be classed as a 'what if' story. Firstly, I didn't realise that this book is number 4 in the series of the adventures of Tom Wilde, but it doesn't matter if you haven't read any of the previous books as it can easily be read as a standalone.
Tom Wilde is a Cambridge university professor and spy. Chosen to go on a special mission, Tom is sent to Berlin to retrieve a secret package, one which may well change the course of the war. This is a very difficult task and one which leads him into perilous situations, so much so that the reader is left almost holding their breath. It is full of fast paced action and reads as if it could almost be a blockbuster movie. I really enjoyed it.
