I really flew through this, though I wasn't quite sure at first. Being a German native living in the UK, the subject itself has always "fascinated" me and scared me even (or especially?) in the current political climate. This book is gripping, thrilling, with just the right amount of tension and gore thrown in. I got cery invested in the characters and HAD to know what happens next. The loose ends are tied up very nicely though, while still leaving enough to the imagination.
I was relieved that the chapters were split up nicely or I might have had to read it all in one sitting! Cliff-hanger after cliff-hanger and just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, another twist was discovered. Really good read.
