Sadly, I don’t think this book was for me and unfortunately I was unable to finish the entirety of the book. Perhaps it might be because I find that fiction revolving around the events of World War II are an oversaturated genre in general and therefore I find that an author has to be especially wonderful in order to get me to continue reading this genre. However, it may also be regarding my general distaste for the genre that coloured my view unfavourably for this book regardless of its subject. I do not believe that this author is in any way a poor writer but it is my opinion that perhaps a different avenue genre-wise might be needed in order for the author in question to hone their craft. My recommendation for this book is to tread lightly unless you are a big big fan of war related books but apart from that I am unsure if I could offer a bigger recommendation than that.
